Word Filled Wednesday

When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?
The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
He observes everyone on earth; His eyes examine them.
Psalm 11: 3 & 4

This portion of Psalm 11 brought such consolation to my soul when I read it today. There is so much assurance in it. In these times of uncertainty, economic upheaval, recession, terrible job losses, men hearts failing them because of the pressure and the stress, wars going on that seem to have no end in sight, there is hope for the one who put their trust in God.

David asks the question, "When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" When all that has been stable for centuries are now being shaken and destroyed, what can we do? He gives us an answer in the next verse." The Lord is in His holy temple, the Lord is on his heavenly throne." We can hide in God. He is our shield, He is our fortress and He is our rear guard.

The word reminds us that the name of the Lord is a strong tower and the righteous run into it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10 We don't have to fear, we don't have to worry, even when we get affected by all that's going on -which is possible since we live in this world - we are anchored safe in Jesus.

Keep your trust and your hope in Him and His word.

Heaven and earth shall pass away but God's word will stand forever. Matthew 24:35

Fill your life and your heart with God's word, not just today Wednesday, but every day.

Have a Wonderful Word Filled Wednesday.
