We sang and we testified

We sang and we testified!! To God be the glory!!!

I want to say thank you to those who remembered in prayer and who encouraged and supported the Evening of Song and Testimony. Despite a snow storm that started on Sunday and continued throughout Monday, and despite attacks of the enemy on almost every member of my group, God met us there and covered us in His awesome presence.

Throughout the week leading up to the event, which was held on Sunday evening, 4.30 March 1st, almost all the members of the small group came under fire from the enemy. One person sprained an ankle and could not move around for the week, another one 'mysteriously' lost her voice for one full day without any warning, my husband suffered bad stomach cramps and vomiting for a whole night, and then spent almost the rest of the week in bed, and another member seemed to be 'under the weather' not really sure what caused her to be.

Realizing that the enemy was on the attack because he knew what we had planned, we got together on the telephone a few early mornings, and spent some time praying over everyone, and really petitioning God for a move of His Holy Spirit as we came together.

By Saturday it seemed like everyone was on the move again, getting more excited, but ready for the time of fellowship.

Then he decided he would try just one more thing. Saturday evening, walking the street, on a sidewalk, clear of snow and ice, an evening cold but bright, I had the fall of my life. I was stunned. Out of the clear blue, I saw my face and the sidewalk coming together. It was scary. I was able to break my fall with my hands, which hurt for many days after. I really busted up my right knee and was in terrible pain for a long time. I was the one co-ordinating the program for the evening. I was the one who would have to be on her feet more than anyone else, and here was I, one evening before the program, hardly able to walk.

I thank God for praying people. We spread the word to everyone and got into some very serious prayer as we realized, how serious the enemy was about taking out one of us.

Praise God, despite the pain, I was able to stand before Him and His people and testify of His goodness, I was able to stand and encourage others to sing praises to Him among the nations. The testimonies were amazing and very uplifting. There were testimonies of healing, of God's provision and they all spoke of His faithfulness.

1Peter 5:8 says, "Be alert and of a sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." He is not kidding, he is out to destroy us, but thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus.

I am not backing down. His attacks have only made me more determined to go on in God.

I encourage you today that no matter how much it seems like the enemy is after you, "Greater is He that's in you, than He that is in the world.

God is able to keep you, just make your mind up that you will stay the course with him, and after you have made your mind up, keep it made up.

Bless you
Vickie

This speaks volumes to me as many are predicting doom and gloom and I tell myself...GOD IS FAITHFUL. HE IS JUST. HE IS GOOD. HE IS SOVERIGN. And then I pray Nahum 1:7....for the enemy is alive and well and his isn't playing for fun.

I'm thankful that God loves us, and that you and I have read the end of the book, right Sister?

So like God to provide the testimony. ;-)

Love ya!

You are such an encouragement. Thank you for your prayers this weekend. I pray God's blessings and protection over you as you continue to serve other women in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.

Greater is He who is in you - than he who is in the world.

Keep up the good and be blessed.

I have been in this same position, and the devil pulled out his pranks on me too. I am so thankful that the Lord in you overcame, that your brothers and sisters in the faith surrounded you in prayer, and that He receives the glory today!!!! I'm encouraged by reading it!
