God is faithful....nevertheless

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does. Psalm 145:13

God truly is a faithful God. I have seen Him keep His promises and fulfilled many of them in my life over and over. He is a trustworthy God, which is why even at this time when 'out of the blue' my computer broke, I can still trust Him. I know He is interested in my everday battles as well as my spiritual walk. He said in Matthew 6 that if not one sparrow falls to the ground without His knowledge, there is no way He wouldn't look after you or I who is worth more than they.

It has been pretty frustrating not having my laptop, with all my writing, my poetry, all kinds of articles, my graphics, my itunes, my podcasts.....it is not easy, but it also has given me a chance to re-evaluate and see maybe I was depending on it too much. I carried it around with me all the time and was forever writing. However with a not too good report from the repair shop that it isn't worth it to fix it, I am reminded of a devotional I wrote about two years ago. Could my setback be a setup (by God) for something greater?

Many times we feel as though everything that comes against us is from the enemy, and true, a lot of it is, but could we ever dare to think, that once, maybe just once, our setback could be a setup by God for something greater than what we have? Just think about Joseph's life and the sequence of events.

As I consider what is happening now, I am reminded of God's sovereignity. He knows everything and has it all in control.

I don't know what will happen with this computer. Realistically it may not be worth it to fix it, but financially a new one doesn't seem to be in sight.I just don't know about that, but I do know that..........
No matter how big or small our troubles are, we can rest assured that God sees our hearts and He sees our need. The word says "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear." Isaiah 65:24

I am going to patiently wait on God and let Him work His plan out. How about you? How about you taking a good look at your life right now and see where God could possibly be at work?

He is our God and we are His children. His desire is to give us the best. All good and perfect gifts come down from our Father above.

blessings,
Vickie

I am sorry about your computer! I know what you mean about being attached to it, and depending on it. I would be lost without mine! I am glad that you can see this as an opportunity to trust God and see what He has in store for you. Perhaps it IS a set-up for a huge blessing in your life. You are right. He will faithfully see you through it, whatever the outcome. Hugs!

Happy to see you back, but sad to hear about your computer. I know how that feels... I don't mean to oversimplify when I say that "Surely, God is preparing something better for you." It's true.

Happy resurrection week, Vickie.

I have missed you and was so happy to see you around yesterday! I am soooo sorry about your computer. I don't know what we would do if mine died.
"How about you taking a good look at your life right now and see where God could possibly be at work?"
I can relate to this sentence. I've been doing that for so long and some days I see what He wants and other days...hmmm.

Oh my goodness. The thought of life without a computer is chilling. All my favorite friends, and recipes, and e-hugs reside there.

I'll be praying for a healing for your computer!

In the meantime, thank you for the reminder that He is still Lord ... no matter what, and nevertheless!

Good job sister. Just discovered your blog. No posts for the month of May though. Please don't let so much time pass between posts. When I see you on Sunday we must talk.
